Community Guidelines — Your Home Base

Last updated: August 9, 2026

This is a room full of mothers who care deeply about their daughters. That is a tender thing to hold. These are the rules that help us protect the privacy, trust, and respect of this community. They sit alongside our Terms of Use, Membership Terms, and Disclaimer.

What we ask of you

What is shared here stays here. Members agree to keep personal information and member-specific sharing inside the group. Do not repeat, screenshot, record, republish, or forward another member's story, question, or words outside this community without her permission. Not to a friend, not to a group chat, and not to social media. This is the most important rule we have.

Speak for yourself. Share your own experience. Do not diagnose another member or another member's child, and do not tell someone what is wrong with their family.

Be kind to the mother in front of you. Nobody arrives here having done it perfectly. Support, do not correct.

No advertising. Do not promote your business, coaching, program, services, products, or affiliate links inside the community.

Protect your daughter's privacy too. Share thoughtfully and avoid identifying details when they are not necessary, such as full names, school names, addresses, or other information that could identify her. Consider changing details when you can. Her story belongs to her as much as it belongs to you.

No medical or legal advice. You may share your own experience and what helped you. Do not tell another member what she should do about medication, diagnosis, treatment, custody, or the law.

What Jacqui does

Jacqui teaches, answers what she can, and moderates the community. She is not available for private crisis support, cannot monitor the community around the clock, and may not see every post or comment.

Your Home Base is a group learning and support community. Not every question will receive an individual response, and participation in the community does not create a medical, clinical, or therapeutic relationship.

What we will do

We may remove or hide content, ask a member to revise a post, or pause or end a membership if these guidelines are broken.

Where a violation affects another member's privacy or safety, involves harassment or abuse, or includes the unauthorized sharing of another member's information or our paid materials, we may act immediately and without prior notice.

Recording and sharing

Teaching portions of some Your Home Base calls may be recorded for member replays. When practical, recording is paused during member-specific sharing, and members will be told at the start of a call before recording begins.

Members may not record, screenshot, photograph, republish, distribute, or share another member's comments, questions, image, voice, or personal contributions without that member's permission.

Because this is a group program, we cannot guarantee that another participant will follow these rules. Please use your own judgment about what you choose to share.

Limits to confidentiality

We ask everyone to keep what is shared here private, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. Please know that this is a promise about discretion, not a legal privilege. Conversations in this community are not confidential in the way conversations with a therapist, doctor, or lawyer are.

There are rare situations where the law may require disclosure, including where there is a credible concern that a child is being abused, neglected, or abandoned, or where someone appears to be at risk of serious harm. If that happens, we will do what the law requires.

If someone is in danger

This community is not a crisis service. If you or your child are thinking about suicide or self-harm, or if you believe someone is in immediate danger, please seek help right away.

In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Outside the United States, contact your local emergency services.

We do not monitor the community, email, or messages for emergencies and cannot provide emergency or crisis response.

Telling us something is wrong

If something happens in the community that concerns you, violates these guidelines, or affects your privacy or safety, please email [email protected].

We would always rather know.

Changes to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated.
